Russell David has been writing songs since he learned his first guitar chords over 20 years ago. Using traditional folk song structure and simplicity, Russell weaves emotional themes common to us all, in a penetrating and personal way.

Over the years, Russell has been involved in numerous collaborations with other artists (Armerdings & Russell, the Nick G. Hard Drive, Mission of Ed, the Procrastinistas, Mexican Sleepover), and has released an array of lo-fi indie albums on not-for-profit label simplemuzik.
